Preparing your sample

Shipping guidelines

  • Send one sealed vial of the finished product (two for blends). Lyophilized or reconstituted both work.
  • Write your order reference on the slip inside — never on the vial or the outer packaging.
  • Use plain, discreet packaging. We don’t need brand labels.
  • Ship at ambient temperature unless your compound requires cold chain; most peptides are stable for transit.
  • International submitters: mark the customs form as a chemical reference sample, no commercial value.
The analysis

What actually happens in the lab

1 · Separation

The sample is dissolved and injected onto a reverse-phase C18 column. A water/acetonitrile gradient (0.1% TFA) separates the target peptide from its impurities; UV detection at 214 nm records every peak.

2 · Identity

The eluent flows into a mass spectrometer. The measured exact mass is compared against the theoretical mass of the claimed peptide — the definitive check that it’s the right molecule.

3 · Quantity

A calibration curve from a certified reference standard converts peak area into an absolute amount, so we can state how many milligrams are truly in the vial versus the label claim.

Reading your result

What the certificate says

Each COA carries a unique ID, the compound and submitter, the three headline numbers, the instrument methods used, and analyst notes. We flag results three ways:

Pass

Correct identity, high purity, and content within tolerance of the label claim.

Advisory

Right molecule and acceptable purity, but content is meaningfully off the label claim (e.g. an under-filled vial).

Fail

Low purity, significant impurities, or an identity that doesn’t match the claim.
