About the lab

Independent by design

KB Analytical is a third-party laboratory that exists for one reason: to give buyers and vendors an impartial answer to “what’s really in this vial?” We don’t sell peptides, and we don’t take a position on any product — we measure, and we publish.

Methodology

How we measure

Purity — RP-HPLC / UV

A C18 reverse-phase column with a water/acetonitrile gradient (0.1% TFA) separates the target from related impurities. UV detection at 214 nm captures the peptide bond directly, and purity is reported as the main-peak area versus total integrated area.

Identity — LC-MS (ESI)

Electrospray mass spectrometry measures the exact mass of the eluting species and compares it against the theoretical mass of the claimed sequence — the definitive identity check, and a second window onto impurities.

Content — reference-standard quantitation

A calibration curve built from a certified reference standard converts detector response into an absolute amount, giving a defensible milligram figure versus the label claim.

Review & release

No result is published until an analyst reviews the chromatogram, mass spectrum, and calibration. Every certificate carries the methods used and the analyst who released it.

Quality & accreditation

Standards we work toward

A credible analytical lab is built on validated methods and documented quality systems. KB Analytical’s program is structured around the principles of ISO/IEC 17025 — the international standard for testing-laboratory competence — covering method validation, reference-standard traceability, instrument calibration, and controlled reporting.

Validated methods

Compound-specific methods validated for specificity, linearity, and repeatability.

Traceable standards

Quantitation tied to certified reference materials with documented lineage.

Controlled reporting

Immutable certificate IDs and a public registry that prevents document tampering.
